Rocky Mountain Rampage!

The level of skating was definitely up from last year! We also added a street event where the locals dominated! Local ripper Jono Schwan won the vert comp for the 2ndColorado-Springs straight year with bio airs, flip tricks, 540's and 720's! Gaby Ponce did lots of air variations and a few kick flips to win the ladies division. During Saturdays Bowl finals I saw  3 skaters in the 14 and under division pull off huge 540's! Keegan Palmer and Poppy Olsen both flew in from Australia to win the 14 and under divisions. Local gal Nicole Noller won the 15 and over and Clay Kreiner from South Carolina won the 15 and over ams. Julz Lynn shredded the combi bowl to win the ladies and Jush Rodriguez won the Men's Pro for the 2nd straight year, both coming from California. Last year Mike McGill won the Masters, but this year it was the Legend, Eddie Elguera, who took the win with a fakie noseblunt on the hip,  an Elgueruiail and many more classic moves.

A great time was had by all who traveled far and also a big thanks to all of the locals who were super stoked all 3 days. A big thanks to Tony from the Coffee Exchange who threw a big party Saturday night so everyone could share their stories. Also a big thanks to Jono Schwan and the SK8 Strong crew for making it all happen. And...A big thanks to the City of Colorado Springs for having us, as we all look forward to seeing all of you again next year!
